Day 50: Percoto
Six-course pairings, grappa with every one.
Beginning with a spritz on glass, then on fish. Baccala on cracker and (fancy) shrimp on a stick. Followed by spicy chutney, creamy risotto, roasted tomatoes and crepes with chocolate cake. The pear sorbet was my favorite; I truly believe the sun stayed a turn longer in the sky until my cup was clean.
Not all days are like this. But this one I'll remember. The warm glow of lights on a lunch table and a Mamma who kissed me on the head.
